then in this video we will learn how you can file a complaint with India Post as well as Department of Posts, which comes under Ministry of Communications, Government of India?

You can lodge your grievance on the official website of India Post’s complaint registration page. On this page you are required to enter select following details:

  • Booking office details – It can be either international or domestic. In case it’s domestic then you need to enter the PIN CODE of the city from where you sent the consignment. You are also required to select the post office from where you booked/sent the consignment. In case the booking office is at international location, then you need to enter the country and office name.
  • Receiver Office Details – It can be either international or domestic. In case it’s domestic then you need to enter the PIN CODE of the city to which you sent the consignment. You are also required to select the name of the post office where you sent the consignment. In case the receiver office is at international location, then you need to enter the country and office name.
  • Article/Consignment/Receipt number.
  • Transaction date – Date on which you booked/sent the consignment.
  • Sender/Applicant Details – First/Last Name, Email, Address, Country, State, City/District, Pin code, Mobile. Enter these details accurately as the post office may try to contact you.
  • Addressee Details – First/Last Name, Email, Address, Country, State, City/District, Pin code, Mobile. Enter these details accurately as the post office may try to contact the addressee.
  • Upload supporting documents/receipts with your complaint.

Once you have submitted your complaint, wait for some days for India Post to act on your complaint and provide you with appropriate reply/resolution.

And in case if you are not satisfied by the resolution/response provided by India Post, then you can escalate your complaint with Department of Posts using https://pgportal.gov.in/
